Honda first appeared in the United States in 1959; shortly thereafter Rick Case recognized the brilliance of the brand and opened his first Honda dealership in May 1965. A mere three years later Rick Case received an award for his outstanding sales in the United States from Mr. Honda in Japan. Continuing on the road to success, in June of 1972 Rick Case opened his first Honda automobile dealership in Ohio and set Honda’s all time national sales record in his first month of business as the first dealer ever to sell more than 100 new cars. Just a year later, Mr. Honda himself made a special trip to the Rick Case Honda dealership on I-90 at East 200 Street in Cleveland, Ohio which was at the time America’s largest Honda dealer. Thirty-six years later, the dealership still going strong selling Hondas.

Established as a leading force for Honda, Rick Case again made enormous strides in the automotive industry by opening the world’s first Acura dealership in March 1986 in Fort Lauderdale, FL and has been the world’s largest dealer 7 years in a row. With success comes expansion, which is why in March 2002 Rick Case opened a new Honda automobile dealership in Fort Lauderdale, FL. With this new dealership, Rick Case became America’s largest dealer within the first month the dealership opened by selling 734 new Honda cars. By the end of the dealership’s first full year in business, became America’s largest volume Honda automobile dealer.

No stranger to setting records, Rick Case made history again in August 2003 setting the national record for the most new Honda cars sold in one month, totaling 1,222 – a record he still currently holds. In December 2005, Rick Case set another national record that still stands today by selling 614 new Honda motorcycles in one month – the most ever sold in one month. The road leading up to now has been paved with tremendous success, unrivaled triumphs and outstanding developments for Honda and Rick Case. Today, Rick Case continues to serve South Florida with two Honda dealerships and one Acura dealership: Rick Case Honda and Honda Powerhouse both located at I-75 and Griffin Road, and Rick Case Acura on 441 at Sunrise Blvd. – all three are the largest volume sales dealerships for their brands in the state of Florida.

Rick Case Honda in Fort Lauderdale, FL features a 600,000 sq. ft. facility that includes 1,500 new Hondas on display inside under showroom lights. A Pneumatic tube system for customer convenience sends keys to six floors, the showroom, the used car department and service facility. Rick Case Honda also offers an eight-pump discount gas station, a self-serve free car wash, defibrillators, and during local and national elections, the showroom transforms into two voting precincts for 3,800 people. A County Clerk of Courts Office in the dealership offers marriage license applications, traffic citation payments, reinstatement of driver’s licenses and driver history, and a Chapel for wedding ceremonies. The dealership also has a café which serves breakfast, lunch and snacks all day and a barber shop with two full-time barbers.

Rick Case is the only Honda dealer to provide customers with a 10 year / 100,000 miles nationwide warranty on all new Honda purchases.
